Astro Transits
Venus enters Sagittarius Nov 1 [4:25 p.m. EST]
The planet of beauty, harmony and values leaves the uncomfortable position of detriment in Scorpio and breathes easier in Jupiter-ruled Sagittarius. What you attract is magnified under this influence. It should be easier to determine what you want and be able to get it, especially when Venus conjuncts Jupiter on the 24th.
Full Moon in Taurus Nov 12th [8:34 a.m. EST]
Let go of all the shit that doesn’t help you build. See and believe in your worth and decide where you are no longer for sale, where you’ve been getting cheated on your energetic investment. Invest more into what sees you and makes you feel luxurious.
Mars enters Scorpio Nov 19th [2:40 a.m. EST]
Mars is also celebrating its exit from Venus-ruled Libra as it enters its kingdom of Scorpio. Mars in Scorpio is aware of its power and is very confident in it. Not as hot-headed and impulsive as in Aries (the other sign it rules), here Mars is strategic and observant. It uses the energy around it to create its power. Own your power so you can respectfully give and take with those around you. If the energy is not sustaining or flowing, you’re either being fickle with your flow or you’re in the wrong circle.
Mercury stations direct Nov 20th [2:12 p.m. EST]
Thoughts and communication flow more seamlessly again. However, don’t move forward with “business as usual”. For one, we’re still dealing with a few lingering effects until November 7th when it exits its post-shadow phase. But more importantly, the point of retrograde is to take a moment to reassess these transmissions. Particularly during this Mercury retrograde in Scorpio, we were diving into our emotional worlds and considering how we honor those feelings. Incorporate those lessons moving forward, otherwise the pause of the retrograde period was a waste.
Sun enters Sagittarius Nov 22nd [9:59 a.m. EST]
Sagittarius season is a time of expansion and application. Sifting through what you know and understand to assign them value and decide which direction you want to shoot for. The sign of the archer makes direct aim, it doesn’t scatter like its opposite sign, Gemini. There’s still a curiosity and zest for learning, but it is more focused. Under the idealist optimism of a Sagittarius Sun, believe in your dreams and your ability to go as far as you dare.
Venus enters Capricorn Nov 25th [7:28 p.m.]
Venus in the more sober sign of Capricorn is all about making sure you are well-prepared and cared for. This is the true space of self-care as opposed to self-indulgence. Getting your finances in order, having your rituals down, knowing your boundaries, and giving yourself what you need to succeed. Capricorn knows that there is beauty and harmony in handling your responsibilities and having your affairs in order. Venus in Capricorn gives us the boost to lay the foundation required so that things aren’t just beautiful on the surface.
Neptune stations direct Nov 27 [7:32 a.m. EST]
Neptune has been retrograde in Pisces since June 21st. In modern astrology, Neptune is the ruler of Pisces, so the energy is potent. I see the theme of this retrograde as having been discerning between what is real and what are the stories we’ve been telling ourselves or allowing others to tell us. Delusions can be a response to pain/emotions we were not ready to feel, but this cycle revealed the ones that were ready to come up for healing to begin or finalize the process of letting them go.

Tarot Forecast
How comfortable are you with your creativity and sense of play? Play/creation is sacred. I don’t separate the two because creation of any kind is a form of play. It is connected to who you are as unique from everyone else. To create is to be comfortable in that uniqueness, to celebrate and honor it (Son of Wands).
Mars entering its domicile in Scorpio this month is an energy that supports this celebration. In Joanne Wickenburg’s Your Hidden Powers, she describes the planet saying, “Mars challenges you to do your own thing and to prove through action that you can function independently.” The Son of Wands beckons you to be unafraid of your playfulness and your desires, sexually and otherwise. Your desires are powerful tools of creation and indications of who you are as an individual.
Strength* depicts putting that self, your ego, out there. However, the goddess only holds out her essence in that way because she feels safe doing so. Protect your creativity until you are in a safe environment to share it. Knowing yourself extends to knowing what you need to feel safe enough to establish intimacy. True intimacy requires a level of trust that assures that you feel seen, loved and respected enough to be vulnerable, completely honest about who you are. What environment, boundaries, resources, etc do you need to maintain that safety?
When that intimacy is secured, you can feel safe enough to fully express who you are and be open to being changed by that vulnerability because you know it comes from a loving space, a space you’ve curated to help you grow and be confident in that self.
The World card takes this sharing of self one step further to a full acceptance of self, regardless of others’ perceptions. This is the path you are on, the space you eventually hope to reach. The freedom that comes with being clear on your needs and your limits, understanding, accepting and respecting yourself.
Eventually, the sense of knowing yourself is so complete that the environment of safety is wherever you are–you are secure enough in self as to not need to establish a protective space. You are then ready to break into a new cycle, ready to jump back into your creativity with child-like curiosity. You enter unfamiliar territory, restarting the cycle as The Fool and ready to explore and accept new parts of yourself.
The act of accepting and loving yourself as you are is radical. It is powerful to declare that who you are, as you are, is worthy. The Hierophant is a reminder that there are people and structures that will try to shut this power down and take it for their own use. To keep you bound by arbitrary, fear-based rules that don’t align with your being. To convince you that that they hold all the answers and there is no world beyond the boundaries they’ve set. This may be done under the guise–well-intentioned or not– of caring, nurturing and wanting what’s best for you.
Given the time of year, this may likely be someone in your family who tries to steer you away from what feels right for you. Or, it could be that being in your family’s presence, you are acutely aware of not feeling in an environment of intimacy. Not feeling fully safe or comfortable to share who you are. In those moments, whether it is family or some other force that threatens your sense of self, remind yourself to breathe. If you have to cry, complain, curse, scream into a pillow or whatever else while you’re going through it, that’s OK. It is ok if you are triggered while you get through this journey, or have a moment when you react in a way that you “knew better than…”. Give yourself grace. Getting through is not supposed to be a perfectly choreographed dance. It’s ok to stumble your way up to the mountaintop. Give yourself credit for how far you’ve come.
The energy of the Hierophant would have you believe that an outside source holds the answers to what’s best for you. You are literally the only person who has those answers. Any help you receive should come from people who meet your requirements for intimacy because they are engaging with the truest version of you. Any help or advice you receive should ultimately lead you back to yourself as the leader of your life and experience. When you’re clear on what you value, it is easier to answer these questions and easier to tell if someone is manipulating your trust.
The spiritual journey is one of cycles, and it appears that we are collectively coming out of one and making our first steps onto new terrain. Be gentle with yourself. Celebrate your truth, your creativity, your desires. Protect them in whatever ways make you feel safe until you can dance with them freely.

*You may notice that in the Motherpeace tarot deck, the Strength is allocated to number eleven, whereas in most decks (namely the popular Rider-Waite deck) it is assigned to number eight. Historically, the first tarot deck actually had Strength at eleven as well, but Waite changed it in an effort to have the cards correspond better with astrology. You can read more in depth about that here.
